Open these settings before you join. Speak one sentence and watch two things move. If the meter jumps and words appear, Sayli hears you and the call. You are ready.
Check before you call
This is the thirty second habit that pays off. Audio settings confirm that Sayli hears both you and the other side of the call before the conversation starts.
You see a microphone level meter and a live transcript preview. Talk for a moment. When both respond, the room is coming through.
The level meter
The level meter shows your microphone input in real time. It rises when you speak and falls when you stop.
A still meter means Sayli is not getting sound from the device you picked. Check the device below, then say a few words and watch again.
The live preview
Under the meter, a live transcript preview shows words as they are recognized. It is the same recognition that feeds the rest of Sayli, shown here so you can trust it before it matters.
Read a sentence out loud. The words should land in the preview within about a second. If they do, your transcript and your live chips will too.
Pick your mic
Choose your microphone from the list. Sayli uses this device for your side of the call.
If you switch headphones or plug in an external mic mid setup, come back here and reselect it. The meter tells you the moment Sayli is listening to the right device.
If the live chips stay dark during a call, start here. A still meter or an empty preview points straight at the audio setup. See Troubleshooting for the full checklist.
